Flower Solitary, axillary; bright yellow. Flowering from June-July.

Fruit A schizocarp; mericarps dorsally ridged, appressed silky hairy, spines 4, sometime the lower pair reduced. Fruiting July onwards.

Field tips Leaves densely appressed pubescent.

Kindly identify this minute prostrate groundcover plant with yellow flowers. flowers about 7-8 mm diameter.

12-15 mm seedpod breaks into 8 parts each with a spike to aid dispersal.

accompanying indigofera linnaei though less abundant. wild pasture-foot/animal/vehiclepath fringe.

It may be Tribulus subramanyamii (due to the style longer than that of T. terrestris) of Zygophyllaceae.

Here is another picture tho the flower is slightly out of focus.

Please help me in identifying this Tribulus sp. (Zygophyllaceae). Could this be T.subramanii?
