Chamaecrista species in efi with keys

Yes it is Chamaecrista pumila (Lam.) K.Larsen Syn. Cassia pumila

Please check, There is small stalked gland just below the lowest pair of leaflets on the rachis. then it is Chamaecrista pumila.

Photographed from Delhi Ridge on 27-8-09. The only thing I can say that flowers remind me of Corchorus, but leaves are Pinnate compound.

looks like Cassia klanii, a wild guess

Check for Cassia uniflora-Caesalpinaceae

Today I studied this plant. It was identified as Cassia pumila. …, thanks for nearly correct guess. I had never seen such small flowers in Cassia, so got confused initially, but resolved it today.

On 17/8/08 in Talakona forest, AP near Tirupati. I saw it prostrate or a bit climbing- smallish one.

The picture 8521 is Cassia mimosoides, P047.jpg is Cassia sophera.

Thanks, …, Description seems to match at the link of Cassia mimosoides: mdidea, & image at: flickr

Cassia mimosoides (Chamaecrista mimosoides) leaves are much longer. See this:

Could your plant be Chamaecrista nictitans – Partridge pea?

Links for Chamaecrista nictitans:
Tropical forages (details with pix),
hear (details with pix),
HEAR (lots of pix).
From the above, I certainly find my post closer to Chamaecrista nictitans. Pl. confirm.

Now, I find Chamaecrista nictitans ssp. patellaria var. glabrata at India Biodiversity Portal .
Could anybody pl. confirm it as Chamaecrista nictitans ssp. patellaria var. glabrata ?

It is Cassia pumilla, the leaflets are <20 (pairs?) in this plant. But in cassia mimosoides, the leaflets are between 25-40 (pairs?); as both are prostrate there a lot of scope to confuse between the two. A gland is present at the first pair of leaflets is seen in Cassia mimosoides but not in cassia pumilla

Plant for Id from Sikkim, April – 15 : 6 posts by 4 authors. Attachments (2)

Please identify this plant from Sikkim, April – 2015.
Appx height 1ft, growing near roadside.

Looks similar to Cassia mimosoides

It is Chamaecrista, but without observing the stamens, and the gland it is difficult to conclude its species. The pod and leaflet number suggest C.pumila.

Came across this erect herb with Pinnate leaves on the way to Prabalgad. Could this be some Cassia sp??
Date/Time: 14-08-2010 / 12:35 PM
Location: Thakurwadi, at the base of Prabalgad.

Habitat: wild
Plant Habit: Erect Herb, Approx 35 to 40cm in height.

Leaves Pinnate, leaflets having sharp point at the apex.
Flower: Yellow with 5 petals

Aeschynomene sp.

Seems to be Chamaecrista sp. pls compare with C. auricoma (Grah. ex Benth) Singh and C. mimosoides (L.) Greene

It is species of Caesalpinia sp.

It looks to me Chamaecrista pumila= Cassia pumila

It is Chamaecrista mimosoides a synonym of Cassia mimosoides; the  leaflets are more than 25, a gland on the petiole at the base of 1st  pair of leaflets indicate it as C.mimosoides

Neither number of stamens nor glands (whether sessile in C. mimosoides with 10 stamens or stalked in C. pumila with 5 stamens) can be seen in these images.

I request … to post original images.
However otherwise, to me also appears to be close to images Chamaecrista pumila (Lam.) K.Larsen as identified by … and as per keys at Chamaecrista
It looks different from those at Chamaecrista mimosoides (L.) Greene

I can see stalked glands at the petiole just below the lower most leaflets in some of them- so it should be Chamaecrista pumila (Lam.) K.Larsen

Thanks for resolving the id.

Tiny Plant for Id : Nasik : 04JAN21 : AK-02: 2 images.
Tiny plant seen at Gangapur Grasslands yesterday (3.1.21).
The pods are very similar to the one I had posted earlier and id suggested as Chamaecrista pumila.
My suggested id was supported by …

Chamaecritsta pumila,

Pl. post a high resolution image to see the glands at the petiole.

Adding the high resolution images one at a time.

These were observed growing in a number of places at the base of Borgad last month (Sept.21).

I had posted the same from other locations in Nasik earlier.
Seems close to Chamaecrista pumila.
For validation.

Yes it’s ma’am,

Not Chamaecrista pumila(Lam.) K.Larsen as the glands on the petiole do not appear to be stalked.
This may be Chamaecrista leschenaultiana(DC.) Degener or Chamaecrista nomamedepending upon the no. of stamens as per keys at Chamaecrista
Pl. show us the cropped close up image showing stamens or post a high res. image, from which this character can be checked.

Adding..
6 high res. images.

Yes, appears to be Chamaecrista pumila(Lam.) K.Larsen, as per keys and comparative images at Chamaecrista.
I can see the stalked glands at the base of the petioles.

.

Identification request: 2 high res. images.
Habitat: Rocky areas

Habit: Prostrate Herb
Loc: kota rajasthan
Date: 20/09/2022

Based on number of leaflets it looks like Chamaecrista leschenaultiana (Candolle) O. Degener !

As raised gland can be seen at the base of the leaf, it appears close to Chamaecrista pumila (Lam.) K.Larsen, as per keys at Chamaecrista.
