Plant for ID : Ornamental. 24/11/2011 SMP2: May be Pachystachys lutea or its cultivar …It looks like Justicia brandegeana (Shirmp Plant) rather than Pachystachys lutea (Golden Shrimp plant). The flowers here, have some red shade in them and also d projecting white flowers have distinctive marking ( which r absent in Golden shirmp plant). Yes … you are right. I also had this doubt because this plant came up during Acanthaceae week, but some how forgot this name. Thanks for reminding. Yes this is not Pachystachys. I remember when I was in school but still interested in plants, and I used to collect plants for my garden. I went to our nursery and asked him the name of the plant, He said CHESIS PACHIS…. It took me years to understand what he meant!!! 🙂

Seems to be Justicia brandegeana. Seems to be Pachystachys lutea ‘red’ cultivar as per first link. last link has names confusing me, but one image is similar to yours.
I think you match leaves to conclude species. Whether Pachystachys lutea or Justicia brandegeana.
It should be Justicia brandegeeana rather than Pachystachys lutea as per images and details herein and as per the difference between the two at
