After of lot of search on net, I could not find any site which gives differences between Podranea ricasoliana & Podranea brycei. There are confusing pictures all over including Dave’s garden & Toptropicals.
On checking, GRIN (I find it better as far as naming of ornamental plants is concerned), Podranea brycei (N. E. Br.) Sprague is listed as Podranea ricasoliana.
In WCSP, Podranea ricasoliana (Tanfani) Sprague is stated to be widely cultivated as an ornamental, while no such mention has been made for Podranea brycei (N.E.Br.) Sprague.
PlantZAfrica states that as it is virtually impossible to tell them apart when seen growing together many botanists regard them as the same species.
In view of all this I am taking all postings at efi as Podranea ricasoliana

Pl. go through Podranea page (Bignoniaceae) with  images of species in efloraofindia (done by me).

If you find any mis-identification, pl. let us know.

If anybody can send images of other species of this genera (for incorporation in the website), it will be really nice. Also, if anybody is interested to take up the activity of inserting images on efloraofindia pages from efloraofindia posts, pl. let us know.
