Ranunculus diffusus: The flowers look too big for R. diffusus. I think think this one is R. hirtellus, very common in Gulmarg and Khillenmarg. Ranunculus hirtellus

Seen this herb en-route Dhel Pass at GHNP at an altitude of apprx. 3500m. Not R. laetus. Some other species of Ranunculus. I think it’s Ranunculus hirtellus The plant resembles R. bulbosus Ranunculus bulbosus is not found in India as per Ranunculus I also think it to be R. hirtellus

To me appears more closer to images at Ranunculus hirtellus rather than those at Ranunculus diffusus

Name: Ranunculus sp.. Family: Ranunculaceae In absence of lower leaves the closest match for me is Ranunculus distans (syn: R. laetus). Smaller flower size, hairy achenes, I think R. hirtellus   id request Ranunculus diffusus?: 2 high res. images.

This herb was seen alongside the trek on the slopes at an elevation of around 12,500 ft. while trekking from Seshnag Camp (12,000 ft.) to Mahaguna (Ganesh) Top (14,800 ft.) on 8.7.26. Yes .

These images were captured alongside the trek at around 11000 ft. elevation before Nagakoti (11,700 ft), while trekking from Pissu Top (11,800 ft.) to Seshnag Camp (12,000 ft.) on 7.7.26.
Ranunculus hirtellus Royle ?? Leaves look different. Sir actually in your photograph flower is not very clear; however, the plant looks like Ranunculus hirtellus as … suggested. Very few leaves are visible so confirmation will require examining the leaves aslo. The visible leaves are almost similar to to suggested leaves near flowering shoot. In Ranunculus this is the most common species found grown in lower to higer altitudes. It is common alpine herb which grows extensively across the Himalayas (from Kashmir to Sikkim) at altitudes ranging from 6000 to 15000 ft. It is commonly reported around 12,500 feet in the alpine trek routes. . References:
