Solanaceae week- Solanum erianthum from Morni Hills: I was waiting for someone to upload this plant, but somehow it went otherwise. This photograph was shot from Morni Hills in Haryana, in October 2010.

– I photographed this shrub growing in a vacant plot in Bangalore and put it up on ITP for ID -unsuccessfully.
I am happy to know now  what it is.( At least I hope I am right in thinking it so!)
It had many butterflies on it.

Id please: 091111CR01: Could you please identify this plant.
Location: Spicer college road, Pune
Date: 18 March 2011

were the leaves very course?

it seems to be Ficus exasperata called Kharwat in marathi
family Moraceae
Kharwat has very rough and coarse leaves

To me it is not Ficus exasperata.
Are you sure the two pictures are taken from the same plant?
I feel different.
The first one seems like solanum sp. (not confident)
The second one seems like Justicia sp.

Please check.

Solanum erianthum D. Don, not that key features are evident in pictures but just because I am a Puneite and I have seen this tree in this location.

Agreeing with … id: Solanum erianthum.
