I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on Stellaria

Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in India & nearby areas with details & keys directly or through links as far as possible. It’s quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the accepted names & synonyms taken from other links.

Species discussed so far in efloraofindia are given at the bottom of the page in the form of links against Subpages. On clicking them one can see all the details.

If someone can provide complete list of Indian species with source references it will be wonderful.
Any comments/ corrections are welcome.

I have added the list of species of Stellaria based on Flora of India vol-2.

Thanks a lot, …,
Species at other links matches with it.
In addition, Stellaria congestiflora, Stellaria gyangtseensis & Stellaria nepalensis are found in India as per Flora of China.
Further there are no details about the following:
1997 IUCN Red List of Threatened Plants edited by Kerry Scott Walter, Harriet J. Gillett- Stellaria depressa Em. Schmid- Indeterminate- J & K

1. Stellaria depressa (eFlora) is not mentioned growing in J&K in Flora of China or in Flora of Pakistan. However, Flora of India have mentioned that this species was recorded from Ladakh but since no specimens exist in indian herbaria they have not included it. Flora of Lakakh by Kachroo et al. (1977) and Flora of Jammu and Kashmir Vol-1 by Singh et al. (2002), published by BSI, have also not mentioned this species. Therefore its occurrence in India is doubtful.
2. As per Flora of India Stellaria nepalensis and Stellaria congestiflora are known from Nepal.
3. Stellaria gyangtseensis is not mentioned in Flora of India but since Flora of China indicate its occurrence in Sikkim it may be included in the list.

Pl. go through Stellaria (‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎Caryophyllaceae) page with images of species in efloraofindia.

If you find any incorrect identification, pl. let us know. If anybody can send images of other species of this genera (for incorporation in the website), if any, it will be really nice.
