Glass lily is such an apt name for this …reminds me of the translucent life like specimen in glass at two sites:
the Corning museum in Corning NY and at the Harvard Museum of Natural history, in Boston Mass ….
where the glass specimen flame worked and/or mouth blown by Blaschka father and son pair are on permanent exhibit…
they look so very real… they look so real… Botanists going to USA may wish to visit at least one of them…
a true pilgrimage..
Back to your specimen.. wonder who called them glass lily… may be some body who had seen these specimen in USA ?

was blooming in most open areas along with Habenaria grandifloriformis
saw many plants

did you by any chance show us your pictures of the Habenaria from this field already? if not, do you have some?


I have posted the habenaria being seen in the background they were growing everywhere, such a feast for  the eyes
