This one was a much smaller plant, leaflets barely 1 cm or less long and flowers in few-flowered raceme.
Flora of Chakrata: Desmodium sp.4 for id: I think same D. triflorum Thanks for inputs sir, this does not appear same to me…though not clear in the pics, but leaves here are not trifoliate, leaf(lets) not emarginate…moreover the pedicels are hairy…hoping for reconsideration…. I think … is correct, as was tentative identification of my plant in the link. According to Flora of China 1-foliate condition is common in D. microphyllum.
Thanks … for your independant conclusion which helps settling about my plant also. It means the plant posted in the above link is not D. microphyllum (and may be D. triflorum)… Yes …, still some confusion. Three plants and only two names:

Perhaps similar to Desmodium microphyllum but with less flattened pods., photographed from the same area on Chakrata Tiger fall road in September Desmodium microphyllum .

This grows in waste places and along road side, also very common inside pine forest and it can go upto 2200m Desmodium microphyllum

In this case also only POWO showing Leptodesmia microphylla (Thunb.) H.Ohashi & K.Ohashi as the accepted name and the CoL and GBIF as D. microphyllum !
