Is there a possibility of Delphinium vestitum
http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=5&taxon_id=200007974
I have also the photograph of Delphinium brunonianum which is quite different. I will post it in other thread.

After checking your above specimens and your other uploads.
Your D. vestitum does resemble the species in its smaller flowers and strongly rigidly hairy plants. It, however, as pointed out earlier is not typical specimen, which should have several flowers in a typical spike-like raceme. Your seems to have just two. Perhaps you may be able to locate more typical specimens in future.

I know the location of this plant and I will definitely try find some good samples this summer.

Spectacular images!!!

Yes it appears so … Beautiful photographs.

Thank you … On my last trip I had overlooked photographing the basal leaves and corrected that mistake this weekend. Solitary leaves are borne on scapes about 15cm long. The flowering spike was about a foot. Here are a couple of additional photos.
