Glabrous perennial herb up to 1 m tall, little branched often tinged red towards base; leaves ternate to twice pinnate, lower on up to 15 cm long petioles, pinnae ovate to lanceolate, irregularly incised; peduncles slender, up to 15 cm long with 5-6 white margined bracts; pedicels filiform; petals white with notched apex; fruit globose, 2-3 mm long, glabrous with thin ridges.
