These pictures are taken from Horsley hills, Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh on 10th of May.

Did you see this. I was so happy to see this one on flowers of India.

Grewia umbellifera , Tiliaceae 🙂

To me appears closer to images at Grewia bracteata Roth

Thanks for reposting for the proper ID.

Shrubby Bush For ID : Lalbagh,Bangalore : 26JAN17 : AK-8 : 14 posts by 4 authors. Attachments (2)
Seen this bush in Lalbagh Botanical Gardens on 8th Jan.
With a few tiny brown hairy fruits.

Pl. check with Artocarpus lacucha

Not Artocarpus lacucha. That has been seen by me in Lalbagh.
… had given the directions. Leaves are very different.
Possibly … could help.

/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Lalbagh-P1160212-Cropped.JPG

I am adding a cropped picture of the tiny fruit, roughly the size of a Ber (Ziziphus).

Its a species of Grewia

Please check for Actinidia species/ Actinidaceae. Fruit has resemblance to this species. But not sure.

Thanks … This fruit was very small as compared to Kiwi.

For me apparently look likes Grewia carpinifolia Juss. (=G. rhamnifolia Heyne ex Roxb.).

/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/IMG_6715.JPG

I was able to click some more pictures during my recent visit to Lalbagh.

Was lucky to see the flowering.
Hope these will help in the id of this Grewia Species.

Some Hydnocarpus?

Reminds of Grewia serrulata.

…, the flowers look similar to your suggested id.
The leaves are smaller in my pictures.
Hope to get it validated.

It does look like Grewia carpinifolia Juss. (=G. rhamnifolia Heyne ex Roxb.) suggested by … as per the link
http://www.pitchandikulam-herbarium.org/contents/description-flower

Grewia rhamnifolia as per images and discussions at Submission of Grewia rhamnifolia

My flowers look different from Grewia rhamnifolia in my post as well as Flowersofindia.

Yes, to me also appear close to images at Grewia bracteata Roth rather than those at Grewia rhamnifolia Heyne ex Roth

Yes I agree with …, it is Grewia rhamnifolia only

Thanks, … But fruits also more closer to images at Grewia bracteata Roth rather than those at Grewia rhamnifolia Heyne ex Roth

It appears to be Grewia bracteata.
A straggler, leaf base obtuse-rotund (subcordate in G. rhamnifolia)
Flower characters are almost similar for both the species. So closer examination is needed.

Thanks to all for helping me id this shrub. Will try to take close up pictures when I revisit the place.
