Which Persicaria  ??

Persicaria chinensis ??

I too think so – Persicaria chinensis.

At first glance, I find it different from images at Persicaria chinensis

Me too.

I would not go with Persicaria chinensis (L.) H. Gross because of the presence of hairy ocrea in the posted images.
To me, your plant is close to two Persicaria species:
Persicaria microcephala (D.Don) H.Gross and Persicaria greuteriana Galasso (nom. nov., Persicaria wallichii Meisn.).
However, Galasso himself has written that P. greuteriana could be considered a variation of P. microcephala, probably because of their morphological and distribution similarity.
But the ciliate leaf margin in your plant is an intriguing character and is not visible in the herbarium images of any of the above-mentioned species. I wish someone checks the molecular variations and digs deeper into this. You may also go through the specimens carefully.

Thank you … Seems different as you have described.

Thanks, …, for the detailed analysis.
Catalogue of life mentions Persicaria greuteriana Galasso with Polygonum wallichii Meisn. as a syn. with distribution in Himalayas.
Flora of China mentions Polygonum wallichii Meisner syn. Persicaria microcephala (D. Don) H. Gross var. wallichii (Meisner) H. Hara with leaf blade broadly cordate or ovate-cordate, 3-5 × 2-3.5 cm, abaxially sparsely strigose, adaxially subglabrous, base subcordate, margin entire, shortly ciliate, apex acuminate.
So it may be Persicaria greuteriana Galasso.

Seems matching …

Which Persicaaria ??

Someone suggested :  Persicaria muricata (Meisn.) Nemoto
http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=110&taxon_id=242336780
But for me looks some different.

i am a bit confused. i went thru this thread here and in the group email site. i cant find anybody suggesting an id yet
where did this persicaria muricata come from. there is not even a forward thru ….,,, curious…

Some of my friend not from this group suggested and  i submitted for the opinion from experts.

I guess this sp. is also Persicaria greuteriana Galasso since petiole looks matching!

Yes, most likely P. microcephala. Some closely allied species should also be checked.

Thank you … Which are they?

Probably some narrowly endemic species from India. I’ll have to check with the literature.

Ciliate margins are interesting in the posted images.

To me also appear close to images at Persicaria microcephala

Nepali Names  : बन पिरे Ban Pire / ढुङ्गा लहरा Dhungaa Laharaa / मसिनो  ठोट्ने  Masino Thotne

Are they edible? They Look tempting.

Pictures only show flower buds.

Yes … ID is ok ?
