This small herb about 25 cm herb was shot from open grassland area in Maihar MP on 15 Jan 2012
Head about 1-1.2 cm, leaves simple lanceolate about 2-3 cm

Is it some species of Blumea?

What about Tridax? ….

Does not look like Tridax procumbens. Any other sp. having distribution

in Indian? Leaf  and habitat images would have helped.

Looks close to Pulicaria wightiana C.B.Clarke as per comparative images at Pulicaria

I think this may be Pulicaria foliolosa as per keys in Flora of Medak district and GBIF- specimen 12 and 3 and as per CoL and POWO.
