Shrubs, up to 5 m tall. Leaves simple, opposite decussate; lamina ca. 5-15 x 2-6 cm, elliptic-lanceolate, oblanceolate or elliptic-obovate, narrowed at base, acuminate at apex, entire, finely pubescent beneath. Inflorescence in terminal sessile capitate cymes; Flowers ca. 3.2 cm long, bluish-white or white; calyx puberulous, teeth very short; corolla tube narrow, glabrous. Berries ca. 0.8 cm across, rounded.
