I found the name കുറിഞ്ഞി kurinji in your post of Strobilanthes lupulina Nees in facebook.
I think കുറിഞ്ഞി kurinji is too generic a name, given to all species of Strobilanthes and even several other Acanthaceae members.
Would it rather be good to share the name കരിങ്കുറിഞ്ഞി karinkurinji that is given to S. ciliata and S. heyneana ? It is same as to your thoughts, a broad name. Please note, almost all names are borrowed from your great works. കരിങ്കുറിഞ്ഞി karinkurinji is an appropriate name S. lupulinus species is glabrous according to records. This one is hirsute…. .
