My Pending Identifications: Chakrata- Shrub 2:: NS MARCH 09 : 6 posts by 6 authors. Attachments (2).

This small tree or shrub is occasional in the area… is this any species of Viburnum ?

Mine is also lying identified as Viburnum. Could be V. cotiniifolium.

Viburnum but not V.cotinifolium in which leaves are white tomentose beneath.

May be V.cordifolium, just a guess.

Could this be Viburnum erubescens?

I also think that it is V. erubescens like … I have got a photo of this plant from Sikkim.

Comparative images of Viburnum species in efi so far along with other details

I find these close to images at Viburnum erubescens Wall.

Pl. confirm.

I think You are correct … Thank you.

I guess too it is Viburnum erubescens Wall. ex DC., but could it be
further checked if it is  Viburnum erubescens var. gracilipes  ??

Probably this is not Viburnum erubescens, unfortunately the pics already shared on efI (as per the link) are fruiting stage only, and here it is lacking.. see the density of flower cluster here, and also the flower colour is not white at any stage.. Further comments requested…
