Common name: Pink Powder Puff
 


Calliandra brevipes (Pink Powderpuff) is an attractive shrub with finely divided leaves and clusters of red powder-puff flowers. It is native to southeastern Brazil, Uruguay, and northern Argentina.

Calliandra for id from Darjeeling:: NS June 07 : 4 posts by 4 authors. Attachments (3).

This shrub was shot from near a tea garden in Darjeeling.. this is surely an ornamental species..
Please help to reach to exact id.. to me this looks very close to Calliandra breviceps

Habitat: Cultivated.
Sighting: Gonibeedu, Chikmagalur, Karnataka, about 1000 msl

Does not matches with images at Albizia julibrissin Durazz


May be some other genus!
