Desmodium elegans DC. ??

I think looks different from your other post.

Pl. check other species as per comparative images at

May keep it as Desmodium elegans DC. for the time being although I am not fully satisfied.
Other species does not come closer as per comparative images at Desmodium

Thank you …!

However, EFN says ” Legume flat, linear, 3-5 × 0.4-0.5 cm, hairy, lower suture crenate, upper suture nearly straight, 4-6-jointed. 2n = 22.
whereas in this case it is around 14-15.

You may be right. We have to look for the correct ID.

Ototropis sequax (Wall.) H.Ohashi & K.Ohashi ??
Syn : Desmodium sequax Wall. ??

Did you find any images on net?

Desmodium incanum

Desmodium incanum is not listed in Nepal and seed pod, leaves and flowering  does not match.
I guess leaf pattern, seed pods and flowering are matching.

Additional images of dry legumes and seeds of same plant

Puhuaea sequax (Wall.) H.Ohashi & K.Ohashi ??

Hylodesmum podocarpum ssp oxyphyllum (DC.) H. Ohashi & R.R. Mill.
Loc.: Upper Siang distt., Arunachal Pradesh (ca 700msl)
Date: Novemeber, 2007

Is the ID correct ?

Yes. Fruits look much different.

Closest I can go as per comparative images at Desmodium ‎is Desmodium sequax Wall.

I guess … is right !

I found these two pics in my database, lying unidentified…
These were recorded from Gori Valley area.. I think this can be a Desmodium sp., your views please..

Desmodium species in eFloraofindia (with details/ keys from published papers/ regional floras/ FRLHT/ FOI/ Biotik/ efloras/ books etc., where ever available on net)

Pl. check with images at Desmodium laxiflorum DC.

Thanks … for resurfacing this post….
Given the quality and quantity of pics, I should not expect/insist on getting them identified.
They do not look like Desmodium laxiflorum to me.

I think Desmodium sequax Wall., as per images and details herein.

Ototropis sequax (Wall.) H.Ohashi & K.Ohashi  !

The id suggestion is not fully convincing, and it is largely due to insufficient images available with me…
I think this post may either be ignored or kept unresolved…
