Kindly ID the Mint. Could be pepper mint. Photographed in Mysore yesterday (25.9.20). Received from a contact for ID.

It has the aroma of peppermint

Mentha arvensis L. ??

Could this be Mentha arvensis var piperascens

Mentha arvensis var. piperascens Malinv. ex Holmes is a syn. of Mentha canadensis L. as per Catalogue of Life and WCSP.
As per distribution, it is not found in India as per Catalogue of Life and WCSP.
However, I could not find the difference between the two on the net.

Thanks … What is the final ID & citation ?

I think it should be what … stated.
