Habit; A parasitic shrub Please check probability of Elytranthe parasitica (L.) Danser – The threads on Elytranthe capitellata on efloraofindia, the info contained in Flowers of India and the Digital Flora of Karnataka, point the identity of the specimen in this thread towards Elytranthe capitellata…! Check carefully again 🙂 So, my dear friend, you think your species is Elytranthe capitellata! Can you confirm these, please, in the attached images? No… I, being a non-botanist, am not conversant with botanical description…I only went by the images in some other threads and the images in FOI and the digital flora of Karnataka…still learning the tricks of the trade…! Going by what the experts say….!!!Thanks again for the inputs and guidance. Date: 24-06-2015, 30-06-2015 and 26-09-2015 I would rather prefer to call it Elytranthe capitellata (Wight & Arn.) Engl. for the sessile flowers and presence of bracts subtending the peduncles. Macrosolen capitellatus from below Mullayangiri, Karnataka-GS12022022-1: 4 very high res. images. I think it is more closer to images at Elytranthe parasitica (L.) Danser rather than those at Elytranthe capitellata (Wight & Arn.) Engl. in Engl. & Prantl Yes
