This is an epiphytic shrub found on branches of trees. This obviously belongs to Loranthaceae. Good to bring in this interesting group.

Sharing some images of the flowers & the leaves of the parasitic Macrosolen capitellatus that has enveloped an entire mango tree in Madh, North Mumbai. This taxon was absent in the published enumeration of the flora of Madh by Santapau & Shah (1969).

I think there are two species mixed up here. The third photo is different from the first two and the fourth.
Both belong to Macrosolen sp. I think.

Agree with … Third one is Dendropthe falcata. Others are different.

Yes …, as you said third one is Dendropthe falcata and rest all three is Macrosolen parasiticus.

kindly refer subject: ‘Plant for id 301209MK2’ for D. falcata species picture. The specific epithet itself suggests the shape of leaves.

I also think it should be E. parasitica as per keys & illustration at:

Macrosolen capitellatus.

I Think this is a Macrosolen capitellatus. the bracts are tubular and connate. the corolla tube is less than 2 cm long.

in Elytranthe the corolla tube is longer.

Requesting to please ID this Loranthaceae member, if possible. This was growing on a mango tree somewhere near Ratnagiri, Coastal Kokan, MH in May 2017.
