Pitcher Plant For ID : Nasik : 18NOV15 : AK-8 : 08/08 : 9 posts by 4 authors. 2 images.

Seen at a plant nursery in Nasik on 20th Oct,15.

This was the first time I came across a Pitcher Plant.
Requesting help in id.

So far as I know, there is one and only one pitcher plant indigenous to our country.

Our pitcher plant is napenthis khasiana. I think the spe point of napenthis is different.

Is it the same which … has mentioned?
This was a cultivated plant.
…, thanks for the name of the one we find in India.

This should be Nepenthes alata or one of its hybrid, a native of Philippines.

You can try sending this to … I am sure he knows khasiana better.

Nepenthes also have lot of hybrids.

I find these closer to images at Nepenthes alata (as identified by …) compared to those at Nepenthes khasiana

I agree this is not khasiana.

Fits better with Nepenthes alata.
Belly is not so rounded in khasiana.
Belly has a kind of much angular bend on upper side in Nepenthes mirabilis.
