No idea about family
Rubiaceae family? not rubiaceae
Pl. check from the following family: its not match sir, now confused in decide family
once decide family then no problem for genus or sp Can this be Anagallis minima (L.) E.H.L.Krause (Primulaceae) ?
It should be Anagallis pumila, having longer pedicels
Agree with … The long, prominent pedicels in these photographs are indicative of Anagallis pumila Sw. [Primulaceae]. In contrast, the flowers of A. minima are sessile/subsessile with the pedicels either absent or almost inconspicuous (c. 1 mm).

Member of Primulaceae ? Thanks for follow up. I received a message from Joanna Osborne from Kew.
I paste the message as it is below.
Your photos and description appear to be of Anagallis pumila Sw. This species is mainly distributed in Central and South America but is also fairly widespread across tropical areas. A few images are available on Tropicos: http://www.tropicos.org/name/26400106. We have a number of specimens of this species from India in our collections. .
for identification- Taken from Mainpur forest, C.G. 2020: 1 very high res. image. Separating as clubbed in the same mail due to the same subject. Posted by …
Any idea about the family? Phyllanthus ?? Campanulaceae member Might be Lobelia sp.
Check for species locally
Looks different from Lobelia Amaranthaceae; I think it is a herb, flower 5-merous, fruit an article/pyxidium, open circumscissly; based on these characters I feel it is Amaranthaceae member Could not find any match as per existing species in efi at Amaranthaceae Could not find anything close as per comparative images at I think close to images at Lysimachia ovalis Yes You’re right … yes it looks like, thank you Is it final that the plant is Lysimachia ovalis? Yes for me. ! |
