Erect herb, leaves cordate and hairy (stem too), pedicel is shorter than peduncle suggests that this is Sida cordifolia of Malvaceae family.

There is one by Dinesh Ji which is also identified as Sida retusa but looks different than the species in this thread.

I think this is Sida cordifolia

Sida cordifolia

Sida cordifolia Linn., Sp.Pl. 684. 1753.
syn: Sida herbacea Cay.; Sida holosericea Wind. ex Sprengel

Erect velvety undershrub, stellate tomentose with filiform 2-6 mm long stipules, up to 3 cm long petiole, up to 5 cm long leaves usually ovate with rounded or slightly cordate base, stellate tomentose, crenate to serrate;
flowers solitary or paired with stellate tomentose calyx; petals yellow, slightly longer than calyx; fruit 5-8 mm across, mericarps 9-10, each with 2 divergent 3-5 mm long awns.
Not to be confused with S. cordata (syn: S. veronicifolia) a prostrate herb with long-petioled cordate-ovate leaves, palmately veined, and only 5 mericarps without awns.

Herb from Belgaum, Karnataka.
I think Sida spinosa?? Pl. validate..

efi page on Sida spinosa

It looks like Sida cordifolia; there are no spines on the stem, but it is tomentose, the leaf and flower, floral arrangement suggest it as Sida cordifolia.

I agree with … ID. Nice pictures!

Please identify them, appear to be Sida cordata/ S.mysorensis.

I too think it is a Sida sp. most possibly cordata

I think more closer to images (& keys) at Sida cordifolia than those at Sida cordata or Sida mysorensis

Prostrate plant with yellow flower from Sri Lanka : 7 posts by 4 authors. 1 image.
I think it’s Abutilon indicum.
Photo taken on 25/02/2018 at Bundala-Hambantota District-SriLanka National Park

It is surely NOT Abutilon Indicum, likely to be a Sida sp.

Thanks, … Pl. check /species/m—z/m/malvaceae/sida

I am confused for this gross mistake ….
Not easy to determine which sp. of Sida it is!
The prostrate port makes me think of S. cordata?
What is your opinion?

Closest I can go is Sida cordifolia L.

I note Sida cordifolia for this photo. Thank you again for your help.

Sida mysorensis Wight & Arn. : 5 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (1)

I took some pictures from Netrakona, Bangladesh, Flowering time april-june.  I think this picture and my one are same. Is it Sida sp?

I think closer to images at Sida mysorensis Wight & Arn.

I hope Sida cordifolia is more appropriate.
Also attaching photos of Sida mysorensis (Shervaroyan Hills, Salem Dist, TN) for comparison.

Thanks, …, I agree with you as per images and details at Sida cordifolia
