Yes this is Sida but not agree for cordifolia. May try for S. retusa.

Thank you for the ID suggestion, but i am very much confused, for i have another post, with a different looking plant that has been identified as Sida retusaefi thread.
There is one by Dinesh Ji which is also identified as Sida retusa but looks different than the species in this thread.
Another group post of Sida retusa at – efi thread.

I agree with … id: Sida cordifolia.

I think Sida spinosa?? Pl. validate..

efi page on Sida spinosa

It looks like Sida cordifolia; there are no spines on the stem, but it is tomentose, the leaf and flower, floral arrangement suggest it as Sida cordifolia.

I agree with … ID. Nice pictures!

Please identify them, appear to be Sida cordata/ S.mysorensis.

I too think it is a Sida sp. most possibly cordata.

I think more closer to images (& keys) at Sida cordifolia than those at Sida cordata or Sida mysorensis

Prostrate plant with yellow flower from Sri Lanka : 7 posts by 4 authors. 1 image.
I think it’s Abutilon indicum.
Photo taken on 25/02/2018 at Bundala-Hambantota District-SriLanka National Park

It is surely NOT Abutilon Indicum, likely to be a Sida sp.

Thanks, … Pl. check /species/m—z/m/malvaceae/sida

I am confused for this gross mistake ….
Not easy to determine which sp. of Sida it is!
The prostrate port makes me think of S. cordata?
What is your opinion?

Closest I can go is Sida cordifolia L.

I note Sida cordifolia for this photo. Thank you again for your help.

Sida acuta Burm. f. ??

it’s not Sida acuta,
Check with Sida spinosa,

Looks correct !

Some confusion about the elevation since the recorded elevation is 100-150m.

It is not S. spinosa as I do not see the spur at the base of the petiole.
It looks close to images at Sida cordifolia L. as per images and details herein and as per comparative images, details and keys at Sida.

I guess you are right

.

Id of a Malvaceae plant: 1 high res. image.
Request for I’d of a Malvaceae plant photographed in February 2022 from Bilaspur. Appears to be a species of Sida.

Sida is a very difficult genus for id. It is difficult to say much with this image.
However, there is some possibility of Sida cordifolia L., as per images and details herein.
