Annual herb, 50 cm to 2 m tall, branched mostly in upper part; leaves oblanceolate to linear, ciliolate along margin and hispid on nerves; heads small, 3-4 mm across, in branched panicles; ray florets white, disc florets yellow; phyllaries glabrous to strigose.

26072011-BS-001 A wild herb for id from Samalkha Panipat: Pls ID this wild herb about 4 ft high. It appears to be Conyza bonariensis
Without flower, hmmm it is difficult, I guess. Anyway it is a species of Conyza. I would comment only after seeing it flower. Species of Conyza are often deceptive in vegetative condition. There are similar plants here also in Kashmir. I am waiting for them to flower. Yes I have seen it flowering it a lot in August and September in Kashmir, Jammu and along National highway 1. It is Conyza canadensis. C. bonariensis is a much shorler plant, narrow leaves and flowering earlier.

VOF Week: Asteraceae sp-6 from Joshimath: This is one more herb of Asteraceae looking some what similar to Conyza bonariensis … I hope Conyza canadensis Pl. note smaller almost cylindrical heads and larger ray florets. A kind of Asteraceae of Mt Slamet ca 2000 m alt. ID is requested. Conyza sp. probably bonariensis Images of this species at Conyza bonariensis Smaller heads and ray florets suggest I. canadensis I guess this should be Erigeron bonariensis L. Syn : Conyza bonariensis (L.) Cronquist ! I will go with … for Conyza canadensis (L.) Cronquist rather than Conyza bonariensis (L.) Cronquist . References:
