In G. racemosa the inflorescence tips are occupied by bulbils. This is G. macroclada.
Arecaceae, Araceae, Zingiberaceae Fortnight 1-14 Aug 2014: Globba sp for ID (Zingiberaceae) from Uttarakhand_DSR_13 : 5 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (2).
This Globba species was shot near Jeolikot, Naini Tal (Uttarakhand). Seems G. sissiliflora. Please suggest the correct ID.
May be Globba sessiliflora or G. macroclada. Need fruits for correct identity..
Thank you … As suggested by you I am taking it as G. sessiliflora since G.macroclada is not known to occur in Uttarakhand.
To me appears more closer to images at Globba macroclada Gagnep. rather than at Globba sessiliflora Sims
G. macroclada only.
After the expert remark of Prof Sabu, I am taking it as G. macroclada.
Interestingly, neither Indian literature nor POWO show its presence in Indian Western Himalaya.
