Asteraceae herb SN9072023: 1 high res. image.
Wild herb in Hasdeo river Manendragarh Madhya Pradesh
Very confusing whether it is Blumea or Grangea sps. Any more photos: closeups of flower and leaves ???. Needed for proper ID.
Yes, we have come across this earlier also at
https://efloraofindia.com/2023/05/13/blumea-species-satkosia-anugul-odisha/
But we were unable to nail down the id.
A tough task for this, since I do not have much literature for Indian Asteraceae with me, but I am 100% sure this is not Blumea DC. or Grangea Adens. or Pentanema Cass. or Vicoa Cass., morphological characters represent a species of Pulicaria Gaertn. (inflorescence, type of leaves – sessile, with auriculate base and flower heads).
There are chances of spread and it should be Pulicaria vulgaris Gaertn. or might be some subspecies of the same (little chances).

Please check https://efloraofindia.com/2011/01/18/asteraceae/ !
Appears close to images at https://efloraofindia.com/2011/03/03/grangea-maderaspatana/, but leaves look different.
I could not find any other alternative.
I guess this is different.
yes sir it’s seems different
What can be the correct possibility?
its not Grangia maderaspatana, leaf and head different
Yes
some Blumea ?
Yes, … That is more likely. Also posted earlier by … at Composite for I’d
But I am unable to find the exact Blumea species.
I also tried all species of Blumea listed in Flora of Peninsular India with distribution in Orissa, but could not go any closer.

Some kind of Blumea sp. ??
Pulicaria ??
I think you are right, …, looks closer to a Pulicaria. But it’s neither P. wightiana nor P. crispa, both of which I recognize quite well. Could it be the endemic P. rajputanae?
Did not find images anywhere. Please compare to the enclosed descriptions.
Sending across a few more images, if it can help ID. If P. rajputanae is a perennial, as mentioned above, then this species is something else. The plant we saw is not perennial
As the heads are discoid, can it be from Plucheineae as per keys in BSI Flora of India?
.
