Sharing pictures of a croton flowering. I agree crotons are appreciated for the foliage but I have observed that when you photograph these not so attractive flowers they are really beautiful. This croton was chopped by some insensitive gardener. It hardly had any leaves but these tiny flowers attracted my attention. Sharing images of male flower spike of Acalypha wilkesiana at a housing society garden at Pune. It looks unusual as it is not hanging downwards rather erect and on full growth it was only 5 cm in length. Another young male flower spike was also seen.
At the following site the length of male flower spike is mentioned to be 20 cm long

A very colorful tropical shrub grown for its attractive reddish leaves. Beautiful foliage of various shades of red, yellow and green. Cultivars of A. wilkesiana, which can grow as tall as 7FT, are found in a wide variety of colors: green and white, green and yellow, red, bronze, coppery, or brown. The leaves also vary in form, some being flat and others undulating, while the flowers are inconspicuous.
In a garden, where they are often used as informal hedges or in massed beds,
all Acalypha species require full sun, well-drained soil, and careful pruning to prevent them from becoming leggy. They are easily propagated by cuttings.

Yes Sir, but I did the reverse because googling “Acalypha musaica auct.” gives the desired result first, as in ‘TopTropicals’! Is it Acalypha hispida finally ? Conspicuous toothed female bracts in lax flowered pistillate spike indicates it is Acalypha wilkesiana Muell. Arg. As per Flora of India volume 23, it is Acalypha amentacea ssp. wilkesiana. Thank you very much Sir for the accepted name in Flora of India.

There are two plants.
One with broad leaves is Acalypha wilkesiana as identified by you.
2nd one is not clear. May be Melicope denhamii or Codiaeum variegatum

I think more closer to Melicope denhamii as per details herein.
For me the images are different and not comparable with the posted ones. I was talking of narrow leaf plant. Not Melicope denhamii. This is Acalypha only.
There is a lake close by, where many cultivated Acalypha are planted.
I do not know this species of Acalypha. The third image looks different. I have tried to crop the third image.
The mature leaves are normal, only the later ones look like they are shredded.
You can see a few normal leaves.
