A small shrub like ornamental plant at VPM’s BNB college campus. It has a very strong aromatic smell

Aralia sp.

Euodia ridleyi, Rutaceae

Thanks a lot, … There seems to be some confusion regarding the name.
GRIn gives Euodia ridleyi Hochr. as a syn. of Melicope denhamii (Seem.) T. G. Hartley (1999), while as per The Plant List Ver. 1.1, Evodia ridleyi Hochr. is a synonym of Melicope denhamii (Seem.) T.G.Hartley
Euodia ridleyi Hochr. is a synonym of Euodia suaveolens var. ridleyi (Hochr.) Bakh. f. as per The Plant List Ver. 1.1
In view I am inclined to take it as Melicope denhamii (Seem.) T.G.Hartley unless some thing else comes up.

Croton Species?
Codiaeum variegatum ‘Dreadlocks’ of Euphorbiaceae?

Aralia amarilla

please check Euodia ridleyi

Thanks a lot. My plant does look like your suggested id. Will wait for comments.

I also feel it matches with images of Melicope denhamii syn. Euodia ridleyi

Leaves when bruised emit some odour.
I am sure it is Euodia ridleyi

??Dizygotheca elegantissima or false aralia
Kindly help Id this shrub at a private society at Pune
I could not see the main stem as was covered with leaves
Height/Length- about 3 feet
Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size- slender green with undulated margins
No Flowers or fruits seen

Yes Dizygotheca elegantissima

FWIW, this plant is now included in Aralia.

I checked up images of Schefflera elegantissima at the following, to which it does not match:

It is more likely to be Melicope denhamii rather than Euodia hortensis, as per images and details at both links.

Kindly identify this plant growing in Bangalore.

Croton species

Pl. check comparative images at Croton page in efi site.

Looks like an admixture of two plants and one of them is ‘Garden Croton ‘ – Codiaeum.

Thank you … Checked Codiaeum but could not identify the species.

Thank you … for pointing out.

Initially I had observed the image in my mobile set and commented. The leaves were superficially very similar to Codiaeum variegatum but now after downloading the image I find that the leaves are in whorls and the inflorescences and fruits are very different from Croton or Codiaeum. Initially I thought that there are two plants in one image!
I admit that I have never seen this plant.

If you have any other image, pl. post.

Pl. check with images at Schefflera elegantissima (Veitch ex Mast.) Lowry & Frodin (Araliaceae)

Just a guess…. Can this plant be Evodia, Euodia hortensis?

I am sorry; I do not have any other photo of this plant. Thanks …
