Tall erect much branched annual herb with angled stem, 5-10 cm long ovate leaves and with pinkish flowers in lax panicles, corolla bi-lipped; capsule pointed.

The plant in front with pink flowers is Peristrophe paniculata [P. bicalyculata].

… may not be Peristrophe paniculata (my thinking: flowering when leaves are shed) and as name suggests in panicle albeit lax … could be some other Peristrophe OR Dicliptera … me could be wrong.
Here flowers seems to rise shortly from axils amidst dense foliage.

“This plant is Peristrophe paniculata …a native of Southeast Asia and Malaysia, basically a weed by nature, this has spread to entire Indian sub-continent from plains to lower hills.. actually it is a much branched herb but gives shrub-like appearance in aggregation.. leaves towards the apex are much narrower, while the lower ones are ovate-lanceolate..
Though this belongs to Acanthaceae- the family of “Vasaka” (Adhatoda vasica) which is a valuable medicinal plant.. this is not valued for medicinal properties..”
