Habitat: Grows wild on hilly area. Habit : Under shrub, woody Flower : Red, Fruits :fruit pendulous Nice pictures! But they don’t look like Phyllanthus wightianus (= Reidia floribunda) to me. Where … stops i should not step forward, so i waited for experts’ views! But, ……. Phyllanthus sikkimensis I am pleased to know the ID of this species. Thanks a lot, …! Thanks …, for posting this plant. It is interesting to note the 4-merous male flowers with fimbriate-margined sepals and the ‘crispy papillose-puberulous’ fruits! The plant can grow up to 3 m tall, it seems! If I am not mistaken the picture no.10 (IMG_2809) and pic 7 (IMG_2826) are showing pistillate flowers having 5 sepals. This goes against the claim at – http://www.nationaalherbarium.nl/Phyllanthus_sikkimensis where it has been stated the number of sepals in pistillate flower is 6. . Garbhanga, Asaam, 2017 June Phyllanthus sikkimensis. MS June,2018/22 Phyllanthus sikkimensis ? for confirmation : 5 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (3) Location : Reiek-tlang Date : 16-06-2018 Habit : Undershrub Habitat : Wild Yes, I fully agree. Further close up of the pink male flowers will show 4 sepals, lacerate or fimbriate along margins. Nationaal Herbarium (Description) says fruits are crispy papillose-puberulous. Nymphanthus tetrandrus, formerly Phyllanthus sikkimensis. Does the fruit appear like crispy papillose-puberulous in the image? It matched with the description prepared by me. What does that say about fruit? Please note that the habit mentioned is undershrub which rules out any other species. As per Indo-Burmese Phyllanthacreae, 292. 2018: Capsules subglobose, 2.5-3 × 3-4.5 mm, shallowly to deeply 3-lobed, crustaceous, muriculate, rufous-scabrid or papillose-puberulous to glabrous. ID please: Phyllanthus sikkimensis !
