Hooghly Today : might be Hygrophila polysperma (Roxb.) T. Anders. :  4 images. 3 posts by 2 authors.

This seems to be the one, described and illustrated in –
This plant is Hygrophila polysperma (Roxb.) T.Anderson. Besides other features the glabrous capsule with pubescent tip can clearly be seen in image no. DSCN7837.
And this is the same plant as in – efi thread, though in different stage of growth. This is more mature stage. More the waterline recedes the spikes of this plant elongate more, and the leaves, i think, reduce, both in number and size.
The following links might help to determine the species :-

One more time I share this, to show how the species looks at different stages of growth.

ACANTHACEAE FORTNIGHT:: For id from Kaithal::NS MARCH 34/34 : 8 posts by 5 authors. Attachments (4)
This small herb with minute flowers was recorded from my village, usually comes with rice crop (after rains)..
I am yet to know the name, the tentative id for me is any Phaulopsis sp., please advise..

Only species of Phaulopsis so far in efi is Phaulopsis imbricata

Please check the probability of Hygrophila polysperma (Roxb.) T. Anders.

Yes agree with … Looks like Hygrophila polysperma.

There is only one Phaylopsis in FBI, P. parviflora Willd., the correct name of the genus is Phaulopsis (ref. Tropicos) though.
This is plant is not Phaulopsis parviflora Willd.

Thank you very much … for id conclusion..I will check the local floras for further information…!!

Acanthaceae …Hygrophila sp. ?? : 2 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (12)
Presenting for identification and deliberation … is of opinion it is probably Hygrophila polysperma (on fb).
An auatic herbaceous plant from Surat, Gujarat, seen today (28.11.19) around 0930 hrs in morning.
Habitat a vacant plot, was waterlogged. Other plants around were Alternanthera sessilis, Hygrophila auriculata, some grasses, Stemodia viscosa, Ammannia baccifera.
Habit is prostrate, terminal part of stem or branches erect.
Flower very small…size evident compared to fingers in frames.

To me also appears close to Hygrophila polysperma (Roxb.) T.Anderson as per images and details herein and as per comparative images at Hygrophila

This looks more like a member of Acanthaceae not striga

Lepidagathis cuspidata ??

No. It looks different as per Lepidagathis cuspidata

Thanks a lot … for resurfacing. I think this plant is Hygrophila polysperma (Roxb.) T.Anderson…….

Marsh land species for identification: 2 high res. images.
Please help in indentifying this aquatic/marshland plant with small inconspicuous yellow flowers and alternatively arranged triangular, densely packed leaves leaves looking like rosettes resembling Callisia Repens.
Location: Karla Near Lonavala Pune
it is not Lindernia (funnel shaped dotted corolla or Hygrophila (labiate purple flowers) as these have different flowers. Though both these species were found in  same aquatic habitat.

It reminds me of Hygrophila polysperma, Indian Swampweed, a very variable plant.
