are those berries or buds?

forgot to ask: the leaves sort of wooly?
if they were then its most likely Solanum mauritianum,
a pesky wide ranging weed.
I am surprised it went up that far up, and in that cold.
all that if my surmise is correct.
lets see what experts think
In the mean time a close of the berry bunch will be great, if you have one.

Thank you … I photographed it with a tele-lens as it was on a precarious slope. I am including a crop here which is of a fairly decent quality. If this doesn’t help, I’ll walk over to it this afternoon and get more details if I can. I haven’t yet seen another specimen.

but its slope be careful
no need to be a hero for sake of a weed

It is certain that it belongs to Asteraceae family.
May be some Senecio.

Asteraceae indeed… This is most likely Inula cappa

Plant for ID/ABDEC11 : 3 posts by 2 authors.

I had posted this plant here a few weeks ago. Now I have more details. As far as I have seen these flower pods never open further than this. The leaves are furry underneath and are very attractive with their white toothed edges. This plant is spread on a flat rock. Please advise.
