It looks like Murdannia wightii to me. Sending a few of my photographs. They were taken at my farm at Shahapur.

This is Murdannia semiteres for sure. M. wightii is synonym for M. pauciflora and one more thing to add Murdannia semiteres and M. pauciflora are different species from each other one is having terminal,
purple flowers in panicle
while other is with axillary, yellow flowers

Murdannia semiteres

So many thanks, … I am totally ignorant about Western Ghat flowers (I came from Kolkata), and “Murdannia” I heard for the first time when I visited Kas, for the orange three petalled flower I already posted. I never dreamt that this could be some “Murdannia“.
I am learning a lot.

SGNP, Aug 2014 :: Requesting ID of this plant :: ARKAUG-16 : 7 posts by 4 authors. Attachments (12).

Requesting to please ID this plant captured at Kanheri Caves, SGNP, Mumbai in Aug 2014.
Attached are 2 sets of pics, Type 1 flower being very small and Type 2 flower being 2-3 times bigger than the Type 1 flower.
Do both these sets belong to the same species (Murdannia semiteres, if at all)?

Yes Murdannia semiteres.

Thank you … for confirmation…
I was a bit doubtful about both these being M. semiteres as there was a considerable difference in flower size…

Yes …, You are correct.
But this is one of the variable species of Murdannia spreading from Africa to India. Flower size, colour; petal shape and outline, orientation of stamens are quite common in most of the annuals. I am agree with …, and concluding all these forms could be Murdannia semiteres.
