Three four hairy species are quite confusing and we have to follow the following keys from Flora of Peninsular India as below:

36 Leaves elliptic lanceolate or oblong, more than twice as long as broad
38 Stipules prominent ovate lanceolate or lanceolate
    39 Stem with spreading hairs
    41 Pods slightly exserted, 15-20 seeded   …. C.hirta
    41 Pods much exserted , 20-35 seeds
42 Leaves villous beneath; bracts often 3 lobed; pods subsessile  ….. C.mysorensis
42 Leaves appressed pubescent beneath; bracts simple; pods shortly stalked …. C.ferruginea
38 Stipules minute or 0.
43 Pods as long as or shorter than calyx
44 Calyx to 0.8 cm long; upper two lobes connate except at tip; pods globose … C.linifolia
44 Calyx to 2.5 cm long; lobes connate at base only; pods oblong …. C. calycina
.

Much branched herbs, up to 50 cm high; stems terete, pubescent. Leaves simple, 1.0-2.3 x 0.4-1.2 cm, oblong-obovate or obovate, cuneate at base, obtuse, rounded or retuse and slightly mucronate at apex, glabrous or glabrescent above, sericeo-pubescent beneath, margins involute, lateral nerves 3-6 pairs; subcoriaceous, up to 2.5 cm long; petioles 0.5-1.5 mm long, pubescent; stipules absent. Racemes terminal; peduncles 2-9 cm long, stout with few extra bracts. Flowers 3-7, 1.3-1.4 cm across; pedicels 2-3 mm long, pubescent, stout; bracts linear, 1.0-1.5 mm long pubescent; bracteoles 2, linear, ca 1.5 mm long, with few hairs. Petals pale-yellow, equal to calyx or rarely very scarcely exserted; standard orbicular, 9-10 x 8-10 mm, retuse at apex, glabrous, claw 1.5 mm long, woolly; wing petals obovate or oblong, 8-10 x 2.5-3 mm, obtuse at apex, ridges to about half of its breadth, claw 1.0-1.5 mm long, woolly; keel petals ovate, 12.5-13.0 x ca 4.5 mm, margins ciliate, beak ca 4.5 mm long, straight, twisted. Staminal sheath 3-4 mm long; free filaments 2.5-5.0 mm long; anthers dimorphic, longer anthers linear-oblong, 2.5-3.0 mm long; shorter anthers, ovoid, 0.5-1.0 mm long. Family: Papilionaceae
Place of collection: Ranpur, Nayagarh, Orissa
Habit: Herb
Habitat: Wild, grasslands, rice fields, forest boundary
Altitude: 100 to 300 m above msl

A small correction: it is C. linifolia (single n). There are two varieties and this looks like the typical one.

Whether it could be Crotalaria albida ?

Looks like Crotalaria ramossisima

Thanks, …
To me also it appears close to images at Crotalaria albida Roth and does not match with images at Crotalaria ramosissima Roxb.
Thanks, …, for pointing out.

It is not Crotalaria albida, but  it is Crotalaria linifolia L.f.,
It is common in Nelapattu, Sriharikota areas which are near to Chennai

Calyx piloso-pubescent, 2-lipped, (2)+(3), upper lip much larger, purplish. Corolla yellow, papillionoid; standard orbicular, retuse at apex, glabrous; wings oblong; keel twisted. Resembles closely to Crotalaria sp.

I think close to images at Crotalaria juncea L.

Looks like Crotalaria linifolia.

Thanks, …  But images of linifolia look different in EFI site.
Pl. elucidate further.

Please go through the detailed description given at this link and compare the detailed description  provided therein for stems, furits, seeds etc. and decide the ID. tropicalforages

Its Crotalaria linifolia

Any chance of Yes ! which is quite common in Uttarakhand at this elevation.

I have checked up again with all the recommended species.
It does not match with images at Crotalaria juncea L. & Crotalaria linifolia
I think it is Crotalaria albida as per images herein as pointed out by …

Taking it as the following as stated by Sangram Sonje ji (and as per descriptions at Crotalaria albida Roth vs Crotalaria linifolia L.f.)

Crotalaria albida Roth vs Crotalaria linifolia L.f.:
Due to confusion in images in our site, I am trying to find the difference between the two:

Crotalaria albida Roth Crotalaria linifolia L.f.
From Flora of China:

Herbs, short-lived or perennial, erect to ascending, 10-80 cm tall. Stems sometimes branched above base, occasionally branched only at base, appressed pubescent to spreading pilose. Stipules acicular, minute, caducous, sometimes apparently absent. Leaves simple, subsessile; leaf blade oblanceolate, elliptic, or obovate, 1-2.5 × 0.4-1.2 cm, abaxially strigose, adaxially glabrous, base cuneate, apex obtuse and mucronate.
Racemes terminal, often on lateral branches, rarely leaf-opposed, to 20 cm, 20-30-flowered; bracts filiform, ca. 1 mm. Pedicel 3-5 mm; bracteoles inserted at base of calyx tube, similar to bracts. Calyx 2-lipped, 4-8 mm, parted; abaxial 3 lobes lanceolate; adaxial 2 lobes broader, falcate, apices slightly obtuse to acuminate.
Corolla pale yellow; standard elliptic, 5-8 mm, base with appendages, apex barbate; wings oblong, ± as long as standard; keel rounded, narrowed apically from middle and extended into a twisted beak. Ovary subsessile. Legume cylindric, ca. 1 cm, slightly exserted beyond calyx, 6-12-seeded, glabrous. Fl. May-Sep, fr. Sep-Dec.
