Scurrula species so far in efi

attached pics do not conform to foc description

This may be Scurrula cordifolia.

efi page on Scurrula cordifolia

Earlier I thought it has some characters relevant to S. parasitica L. But … has much much more experience and records of all family members, including loranthaceae. I have learned many many species from two volumes of … book.

Kindy refer …. http://florakarnataka.herbsheet.php?id=2710&cat=1……
In the instant case the leaves are brown-tomentose rather than white-tomentose as in S.cordifolia (TSP21OCT2015-1)…. My impression is it is Scurrula parasitica which is also referred to as Scurrula buddleiodes as per Digital Flora of Karnataka pages…!!!

Are these two specimens same species?
First  image shot at Gurje Bhanjyang, Nepal on 26 January 2016 at 6300 ft. and the second one shot at Nagarkot , Nepal on 28 December 2016 at 6600 ft.

To me these appear close.

I think close to images at Scurrula parasitica

Same plant on 19 November!
Attachments (7) – around 700 kb each.

I guess it is more matching to Scurrula elata (Edgew.) Danser.

Validation of ID ?

Two posts appears to be different.
Flora of China gives the following keys:
4 (3) Racemes densely 3-7-flowered; corolla 1-2.5 cm; berry base abruptly contracted into distinct stalk. 7 S. parasitica
+ Racemes 6-11-flowered; corolla 2.8-3.2 cm; berry base gradually tapered, not forming distinct stalk. (5)
5 (4) Branchlet and leaf hairs brown; bract ovate, ca. 1.5 mm; corolla tube inflated, ca. 3 mm in diam.; berry turbinate. 2 S. elata

As per Flora of China, it should be Scurrula:
7 (5) Calyx pyriform or turbinate, base attenuate; fruit base narrow or long attenuate. 6 Scurrula
+ Calyx ellipsoid or ovoid, rarely subglobose, base not attenuate; fruit base rounded. 7 Taxillus
So first post may be of S. elata and 2nd of S. parasitica

But it is the same plant …!

Yes, images at Scurrula elata (Edgew.) Danser is also creating a doubt in my mind.
First plant may be showing immature fruit, while 2nd one may be showing mature fruits.
So, if they are same it should be Scurrula parasitica L.

mistletoes can havre differences in forms not only in mature vs young/juvenile plants, also seasons….
