Typical population of Sida rhombifolia. In this species leaf shape changes from early life to flowering stage to when plant is really old 6 months or more …
In early life leaves are broad, so much so they look like leaf of S. rhomboidea.
In flowering stage, while older leaves are retained in lower section of plant, newer leaves definitely become longer than wide, a typical rhoiboid shape. Late life, old plants, leaves become much narrow, smaller in length too. Flowers become smaller too. But it survives and re-invigorates when gets water, in next monsoon, or due to human intervention. Really a perennial in favourable circumstances.
I wd. love to see variants, but could not go much ahead on the links provided by … in an earlier post. yes. mahabala of ayurved

This Sida I saw in May ’18 near Kerala-Tamilnadu border, on way Munnar to Kumily, noon time. It was top of a hill with wind-mill generators, and a cliff-face and deep down huge valley with farmland and coconut groves.
Place name I do not remember now.
It was a very beautiful specimen. More images.- 3 images. Did you check the Monograph of S Indian Malvaceae.
I have also seen this recently in Wayanad area. I guess Sida cordifolia ! There was a similar image with name Sida cordifolia on internet, but leaf is not matching. Leaf is much like S. rhombifolia.
