Spermacoce alata Aubl.  ??

To me looks different from images at Spermacoce alata

Neanotis hirsuta (L.f.) W.H.Lewis  ??

It looks close as per the following but for the inflorescence (which appears only at terminals post):
Also looks different from another closer species of Neanotis ingrata (Wallich ex J. D. Hooker) W. H. Lewis as per
Also did not match with images at Neanotis calycina from Checklist of Nepal
On further checking from Flora of China on Neanotis hirsuta (Linnaeus f.) W. H. Lewis:
Inflorescences terminal and/or pseudoaxillary, laxly cymose, branched to 2 or 3 orders often asymmetrically, with flowers borne separately or in glomerules of 2-5, glabrous or hirtellous; peduncle 0.8-3 cm; bracts laciniate or stipuliform, 0.5-2 mm…..
So it may be Neanotis hirsuta (Linnaeus f.) W. H. Lewis only.

I could not find any image of Neanotis gracilis (Hook.f.) W.H.Lewis on net except for one herbarium specimen as at

However, I feel your post appears to be similar to your other posts at

Spermacoceae ??? Which one?

I also think it may be Spermacoce

It should be Spermacoce hispida L. as per comparative images at Spermacoce and as per keys at Flora of China

Could you please look into the following links?
Spermacoce articularis
Nepali names : गनेले झार  Ganele Jhaar

Thanks … for local name of S. hispida.
I think the posted plant could be S. alata … there seems slight variation in leaves. Hoping those familiar to, will comment and validate.
Here is one good page to check for S. alataUrban Forest.

The Nepali name is actually for B. articularis but different links have different syn.
So I am not sure which is the correct one.

Main worry seems to be that the inflorescence in … post seems to be terminal.
However, on going through description in Flora of China (Inflorescences axillary and infrequently apparently also terminal, 6-15 mm in diam., few to several flowered) in Spermacoce alata Aublet, I am now satisfied that this plant is more closer to images at Spermacoce alata Aubl.

Appears close to Neanotis hirsuta

Dalhousie i.d. Al071111-A: A tiny flower in September..

Location Dalhousie
Altitude 1600 mts
Habit herb
Habitat wild
Season September
Height 4 inches

Seems to be Borreria/Spermacocce of Rubiaceae

Pl check it also for Neanotis.

Probably a species of Spermacoce

Spermacocce I think has long corolla tube in species Spermacoce hispida reported from the area
http://findmeacure.com/2010/12/13/borreria-hispida/
I think this one is Hedyotis stipulata R.Br. ex Hook.f. also reported from the area and now correctly known as Neanotis hirsuta (L. f.) W. H. Lewis
Coocan

Yes, I think you and … got it right.

Perhaps the above plant needs a relook, in light of the plant uploaded by … and the fact that Spermacoce hispida is often regarded as synonym of Spermacoce articularis or its variety (some times called as Borreria articularis).

Hedyotis genus according to Flora Silmlensis, eFl of Pakistan has contiguous calyx lobes as against distinct in Spermacoce (or Borreria). In the above plant they are clearly distinct and spreading (see third photograph). Looking at the short corolla tube as compared to … Spermacoce articularis, I think above plant should be Spermacoce hispida. Please see the key in Flora of pakistan (which considers it under Borreria)
1 Corolla infundibular; tube 3-4 times longer than lobes 2 Borreria articularis var. articularis
+ Corolla campanulate or turbinate; tube equalling the lobes 2 Borreria articularis var. hispida

or the from eFl of China

6 (5) Mature seeds 2-2.5 mm, oblong to elliptic-oblong in outline, brown; corolla tube slender, 6.5-10 mm. 2 S. articularis
+ Mature seeds 2.2-3 mm, elliptic to elliptic-oblong in outline, black; corolla tube funnelform, 2.5-4.5 mm. 4 S. hispida

Main worry seems to be that the inflorescence in this post seems to be terminal.

Could it be N. hirsuta or N. wightiana

Thanks, … As per your first link it may be closer to Spermacoce hispida.

Spermacoce exilis (L.O.Williams) C.D.Adams ex W.C.Burger & C.M.Taylo ??
