Peristrophe : 3 posts by 2 authors.

I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on Peristrophe

Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in India & nearby areas with details & keys directly or through links as far as possible. It’s quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the accepted names & synonyms taken from other links.

Species discussed so far in efloraofindia are given at the bottom of the page in the form of links against Subpages. On clicking them one can see all the details.

If someone can provide complete list of Indian species with source references it will be wonderful.

Any comments/ corrections are welcome

I have added list of Peristrophe species in India based on the reference.

List of Indian species in the genera Acanthus, Blepharis and Dicliptera (Acanthaceae) : 2 posts by 2 authors.
I have added lists of Indian species of Acanthus, Blepharis and Dicliptera in eFI.

Thanks a lot, … Species at other links matches well with these.

.

Pl. go through Dicliptera page with images of species in efloraofindia (done by me).

If you find any mis-identification, pl. let us know.
If anybody can send images of other species of this genera (for incorporation in the website), it will be really nice. Also, if anybody is interested to take up the activity of inserting images on efloraofindia pages from efloraofindia posts, pl. let us know.

Dicliptera nasikensis in FOI : 3 posts by 2 authors.
I have doubts about images of Dimple Bhati of Dicliptera nasikensis in FOI as it is stated to be distributed in Nasik district of Maharashtra only as per Catalogue of Life and Flora of Peninsular India.
I could neither find any images or specimen on net (none at
GBIF) nor any description on net.
Also it shows only a single image without much details.
It may be some other species.
Pl. check and rectify.

I agree with you that the identity is doubtful here.

It has to be deleted or marked as doubtful.

.

Pl. go throughDicliptera (Acanthaceae) page with comparative images of species in efloraofindia. On clicking the link of species, one can check the complete details.
I request you to pl. go through & point out mistakes, if any. I hope this will aid in identifications in future. If anybody can send images of other species of this genus (for incorporation in the website), if any, or can identify unidentified images, it will be really nice.
