Introduction to Taxonomy of Angiosperms By Verma, Verma B. K.- Details

.

Our next episode in June is expected to be another exciting display of members from families Plumbaginaceae, Primulaceae and Myrsinaceae, with so many beautiful Primula species in the Himalayas. Members are requested to organize their photographs for upload during the fortnight, from June 1 to 14.
Please do keep a uniform subject line for your uploads, and also indicate your serial number at the end of each subject line.
I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY EXPERT VOLUNTEERING TO COORDINATE THIS INTERESTING EPISODE.

Thanks, … Myrsinaceae is now under Primulaceae.
In case, no expert coming forward, we may request …, to coordinate the episode though we are aware that he is very busy with very little time to spare.
I have already updated genera pages of these families in anticipation with lot of good material thrown in, which should help the members in their quest of correct Id.
Details as below (On clicking on genera pages one can see most of the species found in India with details, photos, keys etc.):
………………………….
Genera under ‎Primulaceae (including genera earlier under Myrsinaceae) with details:
…………………………

Thanks a lot .. for useful information. Yes it would be very helpful if … is able to spare some time for this episode.

.

Genera in BSI Mah.
Aegiceros

Ardisia
Embelia
Maesa

I would like to tell (I may be wrong) that out of the genera listed here, perhaps we have only two represented in Western Himalayas and Northern India..
Myrsine and Maesa..
Experts may correct me ..

Primulaceae :  1 post by 1 author.

I have updated all eFI (efloraofindia) genera pages on Primulaceae.

Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in India & nearby areas with details & keys directly or through links as far as possible. It’s quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the accepted names & synonyms taken from other links.

Species discussed so far in efloraofindia are given at the bottom of the genera pages in the form of links against Subpages. On clicking them one can see all the details.

Any comments/ corrections are welcome.

Species, genus & family pages of‎‎‎‎ Primulaceae‎‎‎ are now with comparative images:
Species, genus & family pages of‎‎‎‎ Primulaceae‎‎‎ are now with comparative images. On clicking the link of species, one can check the complete details. Genus pages generally give details of most of the species found in India.
May I request you to pl. go through & point out mistakes, if any. I hope this will aid in identification in future. If anybody can send images of other species of this family (for incorporation in the website), if any, or can identify unidentified/ wrongly identified images, it will be really nice.
