Height upt 10 feet.
Flowers pale yellow. Fruits orange when ripe.

Id pl of the planted shrub seen near Kates point- Mahabaleswar.
Is it some Solanaceae?
Local people call it `Brazil.`, seems to be exotic.

Looking like Acnistus arborescens (L.) Schltdl.
A native to Central and South America.

Please check for Acnistus arborescens.

While checking my old photographs I came upon the pictures of this shrub Mahabaleshwar May-Jun.
Will appreciate the ID
I vaguely remember that this was identified earlier but I don’t remember.

The first picture looks like Acnistus arborescens.
Not sure if the second one is the same.
I too had seen this in Mahabaleshwar.
