I know this grass by sight. Probably of genus Dichanthium, D. foveolatum is my guess.
This is commonly seen in shallow waterlogged areas in South Gujarat as well.
I remember it as a common invasive in Rice crops in Bihar.

Digitaria ciliaris ? I think it’s Ischaemum only, could be I. rugosum, Ischaemum sp. – Please send focused closeup of raceme and spikelet for species confirmation.
