A cultivated, garden plant.

this not ocimum basilicum

inflorescence is all wrong shape

Thanks for your feedback.
Would like to know the correct id.

It is true infl. is different, but my experience shows in the cultivated plants, after frequent pruning the branching changes in many species including in Ocimum. Possibility of that change in this also.

But i grow basil and tulsi several types and all thru the summer pisk them

inflorescence may be shorter but never does it become globose and change from white flowers to pink-mauvish  …

not the way it goes

white withers to brown but never mauve/pink

drastic … and this case is mixed with rat rani

wonder what was planted?
