Also heard stories of killing somebody or committing suicide with its seeds. Searched and found info on toxicity –

It is grown plenty in the Highways in the dividers and grows profusely allover Tamil Nadu in India. In US itself, the dividers in the Road connecting Sacramento to Sanfrancisco. there is abundance of Oleanders

As per my knowledge, not our native plant, It is variously described as native of Asia or Asia and Europe. KEW says it is native to Mediterranean, Iran and Indian subcontinent. My reading on the net supports what … just told us .
