it is a garden shrub about 6 feet high
fruit size about .5 to .75 inche only.
Nurserymen says it is Chinese orange

Citrus microcarpa??? may be a bad guess

I think u r right …

Watch for the fruits and then decide.

Possibly Citrus Aurantium.
Kindly go through the link http://www.motherherbs.com/citrus-aurantium.html
At first I thought it may be pomelo, but pomelo flowers have only 4 petals (hope petals is the right term).

I agree with whoever said that to wait till the fruits appear… watch’em mature and then open up one, if its your own tree or your study tree

I am not familiar enough with those to be able to tell from the excellent photos. I am sure some of us can supply more info.

Discussing:

ମଇଁଷିଆ ଲେମ୍ବୁ [36] …..lembu -> Citrus maxima (Burm.) Osbeck (I cannot work out first part of name)

ମଇଁଷିଆ = mainshia … referred Oriya dictionary … Purnnachandra Ordia Bhashakosha by Praharaj, G.C..

I was not aware of this dictionary… or that it was open. There are a few more coming from Digital Dictionaries of South Asia. They are waiting for the lawyers to sort the copyrights problems. These dictionaries are good but a little out-dated when it comes to horticulture. This is where groups like efloraofindia come in to fill the gaps. It is all very exciting.

Rutaceae week – Citrus – more questions: Could someone explain this: সাতকরা Sātakarā (Assamese) -> ( Citrus macroptera var. assamensis )
is this a synonym of Citrus assamensis S. Dutta & S. C. Bhattach. ?
a misspelling of Citrus macroptera Montrouz. var. annamensis Tanaka ?
or a papeda from Assam ?
Also there is a
Citrus × sinensis (L.) Osbeck (Sweet-Orange Group)
Assam Santra
Please validate and supply scripted name(s)

Rutaceae Week – Citrus – Malayalam names: I am beginning to feel the pressure (the enormous efforts invested in Euphorbia were very much worthwhile though) so I am sorry to offer this “dog breakfast”. Please help as much as possible by editing this list in the usual way. Thanks
