I agree with … and would like to narrow down to Bambusa vulgaris var. striata. I think the laves of Phyllostachys aurea are smaller. yes even i go with Bambusa vulgaris var. striata

This looks like Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. ex Wendl.
Culm sheaths with two conspicuous auricles, one on each side.
Another similar species is B. polymorpha Munro with wrinkled auricles and narrower leaves.

This is neither Bambusa tuldoides Munro nor Bmbusa ventricosa McClure, I think. The culm sheath is similar to my upload of Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. Looks matching according to the net images ! Also seems to be matching with images of Bambusa venticosa. Bambusa vulgaris cv. ‘Wamin”– (Bambusa ventricosa and B.wamin are all cultivated varieties of B.vulgaris and do not deserve a species status. If planted in the wild, these bamboos sometimes revert to their non-bellied forms after a few years of new culm growth. ID request..is it Bambusa ventricosa? from Lahore Pakistan : 4 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (5) Swollen internodes are typical of the species but at times it straightens out to look like those in your photographs. efi page with images at Bambusa ventricosa Dendrocalamus strictus (Roxb.) Nees ?? The plant appears to be Bambusa vulgaris (Green variety) not B. venticosa or B. wamin. The species is anyway the same. .
