Flower: axillary, 05 petals, diameter:04mm, white, good fragrance
Fruit: berry ovoid green into white, size:02.5×1.2cm, edible delicious sweet with lite aromatic taste
Seed: green, single, ovoid, soft, size:01.5×0.5cm

Great …, thank you very much for the Genus ID. It’s aromatic smell and taste of leaves, fruits and young shoot are something close to Glycosmis pentaphylla (my ID request #35).

yes, it is Elaeagnus sps; reasons: Flowers bisexual, 4-merous, clustered on short axillary shoots; young shoots with rust-colored scales; oblong juicy fruit.

Thanks a lot dear … for ID my plant. It is very close to Glycosmis albicarpa, but I observed some differences: leaves are odd pinnate and seed is greenish ovoid. Please check collage, left images are of mine.

Novataxa (Abstract: A new species, Glycosmis albicarpa Sujana & Vadhyar from Kanyakumari wildlife sanctuary of southern Western Ghats, India is described and illustrated. It differs from all other species of Glycosmis by its short and broadly lanceolate leaves, short (3–5 mm long) peduncles, clawed petals and broadly ovoid white fruits. The description is complemented with color photographs, micromorphology of pollen and seed under SEM)
