I have posted once again Debregeasia. Photos of two plants, seen on same day, are put below. The first two photos belong to one, where we see flowers in leaf axils; the last two photos of another plant shows flowers all over the branch. Are these two different species OR are they male & female ? Please help.

Thanks … for resurfacing this query. This plant must be Debregeasia longifolia (Burm.f.) Wedd. … the only other distributed Debregeasia in nearby Shimoga is Debregeasia ceylanica (Burm.f.) Wedd. … with distinct difference in leaves. The latter’s status is shown critically endangered at IUCN.
Location: Munnar, Kerala

Must be Debregeasia longifolia.
Debregeasia sp. … most possibly longifolia.
It is member of Urticacace

Could you help me ID a shrub from west slope of Mt Slamet please.
This is Debregeasia longifolia from the family URTICACEAE.
Family: Urticaceae
Date: November 2014
Place: Rishikesh (Neer Waterfalls), Uttarakhand
Habit: Short tree
This is a Debregeasia species, probably D. longifolia…
Can be Debregeasia hypoleuca – Siaru (local name in Himachal). A fodder shrub.
efi pages on Debregeasia longifolia & Debregeasia saeneb (Syn: Boehmeria hypoleuca Hochst. ex A.Rich.)
It looks like Debregeasia longifolia,
We have Debregeasia saeneb here as small trees as well as shrubs. Since Rishikesh has a similar clime and altitude we could be looking at the same species.
…, any key to separate the species listed in this thread- D. longifolia, D. saeneb and D. hypoleuca?

A new to efi from Nepal after a long gap.
I feel it should be Debregeasia longifolia as per keys in Flora of China:
4 (1) | Branches spreading pubescent; at least some inflorescences on current year’s branches; flowering August to December. | 4 D. longifolia
+ | Branches usually appressed pubescent; all inflorescences on branches of previous seasons; flowering February to April. | (5)
5 (4) | Leaves densely snow white tomentose abaxially, faintly fine veined; inflorescences often sessile. | 6 D. saeneb
+ | Leaves gray tomentose abaxially, distinctly fine veined; inflorescences usually pedunculate. | 5 D. orientalis |
5. Debregeasia orientalis C. J. Chen, Novon. 1: 56. 1991.

Shrubs or small trees 3-6 m tall, dioecious or monoecious.
What does it prove ?
I suppose Debregeasia orientalis is a small shrub and Debregeasia longifolia is shrub to a tree with many branches. So, I guess it looks like Debregeasia orientalis !
Those are not the keys. Very vague for I’d, when both can be shrubs.
OK … !
